Don’t bother reading this…

(Because of recent defeats, dismay, dishonors and disappointments, PJ has developed into someone very distraught, discouraged, downcast and disheartened and asks for deliberation for the discontinued posts for the past few days in the days to come. )

[Yeah. Please don't bother him. He failed lotsa shit.]

(Shut up! It’s not like he needs reminding.)

[But then people have the right to know that he let his family, friends, classmates down.]

(But is it really right to do this to him? Let him continue to feel sorry for himself. It’s not like anyone cares anymore.)

[Hey! We do.]

(Yeah, but we are fictional characters from the subconscious of PJ.)

[Whatever. I care.]

(So do I. I hope others too.)

I’ll be back to blogging when i feel like it.

Batch ‘09 Junior Elections!

Pebrero 19, 2007 at 7:46 hapon (Uncategorized)

Yo. Sup? Long time no post. :D but luckily, I will now.

(bakit ka nawala?)

Elections. Tedious thing. I’m running eh. Batch PRO. Had to do lotsa crap pa. So put those together and you get an empty blog.

(Cool.)

Before I continue, I’m supposed to mention Ms. Mara Brodeth, who told me this morning that she reads my blog. It’s kewl that she read my “selfless” reasons why I’m running, as she’s running herself. That post can still be found here:

http://everyonehasablogsowhynotme.wordpress.com/2007/02/05/g0-o9/

Anyway, election was today. We (Mr. Manzo, Ms. Pascasio, Ms. Ange and I) did some last minute campaigning in the morning. We even cut fourth period class to campaign. Did I say cut? I meant, “Mandantorily excuse ourselves.)

In English class, during speech delivering, when asked for comments, I always mentioned in my comments to vote for me! :D

Homeroom, game time. Vote, vote vote… syempre, I voted straight. Even for Cyd! Go Cyd!

Tas yun. After that, bla bla bla… I went to bio… then to art… then to algeb… then to socsci (At this point, I have to say thank you to Ms. Kim Abog for making such good SocSci notes and I hope she does so again next year. :D )

Then there… we hung around to do our Art project… bla bla bla… then we heard the results.

Seated on the floor, I got into my meditative position, and with jiggs, daryll, migs and prolly andre, we formed a pentagram to telekinetically change the results and make me the winner!

And it did.

Ms. Viola lost.

Manzo lost.

Quintin won!

Ms. Mara lost.

Ms. Pascasio lost.

Mr. Apollo Go won!

Ms. Roque lost.

Cyd lost.

Ms. Yap won!

Ms. Ramos lost.

Ms. Denia lost.

Ms. Sevilla won!

Ms. Dela Paz lost.

Mr. Mamaril lost.

I won!

Ms. Castro lost.

Mr. Dapul won!

So let’s look back.

Eusebio <- rock

Go <-rock

Yap <-rock

Sevilla <-rock

Dapul <-rock

Me. <- team go 09!

So, Manzo lost and Eusebio won.

It looks like Eusebio’s party won, and Ms. Viola’s part lost. As well as Mr. Manzo, but he has a small victory. With me. But it’s not like i matter much.

(It came down to who had more funds in the election.)

And so Ms. Viola lost completely?

 (Yeah. Sad, ain’t it?)

Like what Mr. Chris Mercado said. (Our Eng2 teacher.) This is life. There are winners and there are losers.

And some times, those winners are the rich people.

Except for me. I’m not rich. And so is Ms. Pascasio. She’s richer than Mr. Go. But she lost. Ah well.

For me, it would be ok if we all in our party lost except for Manzo. Why? Because manzo has reservations at Crowne Plaze and Makati Shang. The two best places in the entire country to hold an event. Now, as far as I know, Mr. Eusebio doesn’t have a place yet. (or has one, but I dunno). As it’s already late this year, every place next year is already piling up. I dunno what’s gonna happen to our prom.

Luckily, I’m there. I’ll try to do something. I, after all, am PJ. Lord&Master.

Don’t mind that other post down there.

Inspired by the fact that I got an A++ paper in Soc Sci 2 while playing Ran, I have decided to shape up because of the increased referralitycalfulness an A++ paper brings. I guess I better start doing more un-random things and stuff….

(Ok… what in the world is an A++?)

Um… uh… well… erm… uh….

http://sirmartin.wordpress.com/2007/02/12/what-is-an-a

There. Check that out. It’ll explain everything. (Lazy bastard.) I’m not lazy, I’m just…um…. uh… properly citing sources. Yeah. :D And saving time. :D And increasing referralityness.

(Ok… so you got an A++. What now? So what?)

Well, it proves I’m not mediocre. :D And that.. um.. I can make something out of my life… and that I can do something really well aside from kicking ass. And also probably that I’ll now gain more revenue when I put up my “Alms for poor” sign because they’d say, “Hey look! It’s that guy who got an A++ in his SocSci paper! Let’s give him money!”

(How/What/Why’d you get an A++? )

Well, hell (or heaven) if I know. If I knew, I wouldn’t be paying you to ask.

(I’m getting paid?)

[We’ll talk about the details later.]

Actually, I dunno myself why I did. Maybe it’s because it’s different…. but how should I know different? Maybe it’s because I haven’t seen other peopleses works. Maybe if we took a look at Mr. (Kevin) Roque’s paper, or at the papers of the other people who got A++ses, we’d be able to see why. As far as I know, I was just writing…and writing… and writing as I always do…

and then It got poured into a wheat field. and *poof*! it became an A++ paper!

I.. really… don’t… know…. Maybe I’m really that awesome. :D (Or baka chamba lang yan) Shaddap.

I suppose this now poses a challenge to the people who think they’re better than me. (Like you!)

Top that sucker!

The next thing I know, I’m not the only one there. :P And I’m curious to know who.

But then again, it may discourage other people because someone so great and powerful got an A++ and that they have no hope for themselves! (Yeah right… Asa pa pj….)

[15:27] sirmartinperez: Anyway, I’ll be going out for a while and may not read your reply if you do so. This is already very good but you’ll still have to pass a hard copy. Go through your paper once more to polish things up a bit. I saw some misaligned paragraphs and messed up words. Content-wise, I won’t ask anything for anything else because everything you’ve mentioned here fits your style already. So just clean this up. And send me your final, final copy. I’ll be converting this to PDF and will publish it online. Excellent work! :)

Playing with fire…

Pebrero 12, 2007 at 8:34 hapon (Uncategorized)

…will get you burned.

But not in the way we do it. :D

Today, after the achievement exams, we went to SM to buy stuff.

Stuff we bought:
1.) Super Flame Liquid
2.) Ethyl Alcohol
3.) Solid Fuel.

Hmm…

Punta kami sa bahay ko.

(saglit, saglit… sino sino kayo?)

Um… Jiggs, Cyd, Luiz.

(K. game.)

Punta kami sa bahay ko.

I told my household help to like, go away for a few seconds and look the other way.

So sa drive way kami medyo.

Dala ni Jiggs lighter.

Astig yung stuff.

Dalhin ko bukas.

Kumuha ako arnis stick.

sinunog namin.

Astig xa.

Kumuha kami ng Ping-pong ball.

sunog xa.

astig pa rin.

Kinuha ko Water gun ko. Filled it with the Super flame liquid.

Placed the solid fuel on the ground. Lit it.

Fired the gun at the thingy.

it looked kewl.

Well, i can keep writing on how awesome it was but words can’t really explain what we did. :) )

So.

Later on.

Check out our SocSci Project thingy.

This’d be in it.

Yeah.

Hey look! A filler post! :D

(Sorry for the really, really stupid filler post. I’m brain dead and CO2 intoxicated.)

How to get where you want to go the most complicated way ever.

Pebrero 8, 2007 at 6:16 hapon (Uncategorized)

Coin toss.

That’s right, coin tossing.

The ever famous 50/50 impartial judge ever, since it was invented.

I dunno who thought of coin tossing first to decide something, but i give kudos to that dude.

For years, coin tossing has been one of the most important factors in many decisions. Especially today in the world where there are so many options, you can’t simply choose one, if you were to take it seriously. And when it comes to how to get where you want, there are many ways of getting there.

But in Pisay, we (Janus, Daryll, Jiggs) have this new way of getting places. It’s called coin tossing.

It’s simple. When you reach an intersection, flip a coin. Heads left, tails right. Always. If its too complicated, dice roll. (if you have a dice). It’s been a fun game. It has only one rule. NO CHEATING.

Two days ago, we had computer science. We tried to get to the cafeteria. It proved… hard. After that, we tried to get from the Algebra room to the Health room. We went all the way to the second floor, around the SHB twice, till we got to the room.

Whats worse was biology yesterday. We were already late and we actually had to cheat twice to get to the biology room. luckily, we weren’t noticed. much. But then if we took that right turn to the field….

Today was… an adventure. From fourthfloor to the cafeteria. We did manage to get down, but not before rounding the SHB. We were about to get to the cafeteria, when a small toss took us around the field, twice, past the gym, front lob, and IT NEARLY MADE US GO OUT of pisay.

Guard: “San kayo?”
Us: “Lalabas po.”
Guard: “Bakit?”
Us: “Sabi po ng coin eh.”
Guard: “Ganun ba? Sige.”

But then the bell rang and we didn’t reach the cafe. Sprint all the way up to the geometry room.

Gooby-Gubi-Goobi-Guby. Why this place won’t go to hell.

Pebrero 6, 2007 at 7:02 hapon (Uncategorized)

Today, our Social Science teacher, Sir Martin Perez raised a question that went something like, why don’t other countries progress/thrive as much/as well as others do?

(sorry sir, i forgot the real question. It’s not like i listen in class or something…)

Then he mentioned 7 reasons.

1. Geography
2. Geopolitcs
3. Cultural Barriers
4. Government Failure
5. Lack of Innovation
6. Deomgraphic Trap
7. Poverty Trap

He then mentioned an imaginary place. Gooby-gooby. Or Guby-guby, or Goobi-Goobi, or Gubi-Gubi. Or.. whatever. I’ll call it GG.

While talking about the 7, he showed examples through the imaginary land of GG.

1.) Geography.
GG is situated on top of a mountain peak. or plateau. It fogs there. Surrounding it are… um.. plains. This way, geography hinders the growth of…whatever, depending on where you are.

2.) Geopolitics.
The countries around GG hate GG because they’re all ugly and stupid. Geopolitics affects your current status with nations around you. Or something.

3.) Cultural Barriers
Everymorning, the citizens of GG go to sleep and jump out the window. They talk in a different language and stuff. Cultural Barriers mean the culture you have affects how you live or whatever.

4.) Government Failure
GG has elected a cow for their leader. They worship it everyday, asking for deliverance. But nothing comes. Except for milk. No need to explain, do I?

5.) Lack of innovation
An American dude brings in a computer. He shows it to them. They say, “Bleaisdufgasdjfbal!” Then they bring out a stone computer. Lack of innvation is how much “creation” you create and bring out.

6.) Demographic Trap
In GG, every family has about… 7 children. Most people have only 2. People in Africa have an average of 5. You understand now, do you?

7.) Poverty Trap.
Everyone in GG is poor. They can’t can’t climb the ladder because there is no ladder.

After all this was said, I began to think of a situation where it could have these things, yet it could progress. When sir asked the class, “What would progress easier? A seaside location or a mountain top?” Most chose sea side. I chose mountain top. And so i’ve been looking for a situation where it would fit…

And so I begin my search for a situation where in GG won’t go to hell. And here is what i’ve got so far.

GG won’t go to hell because first off, their isolated. Isolation, though usually bad, can protect you from mainstream ideas. It leads you to think in a totally different box, while the whole world is in a different box. Through this, you can develop at your own pace. And eventually, somehow, the idea of “industrialism” will enter the minds of the citizens of GG. And so will many other ideas that may never reach normal people outside GG because of whatever experiences they have that don’t occur in GG.

It would also protect them from Plague. And the Concept of “Murder” and “Theft”. And stuff like that. Gets ba?

And so what if nations hate each other? Hating other nations doesn’t mean you can’t trade with them. And if they hate you, then kill them. No prob. At least they’d leave you alone. For example, Nation A hates GG. Nation A gets into war with Nation B. Nation A will not survive war. GG will not be harmed. GG is neutral.

Cultural barrier. I hit a five minute road block here, until i decided that this road block doesn’t exist. At the beginning of time, other people think other people are weird. And it goes on till today. It’s not a barrier. It’s a perspective. It’s life.

Government Failure. There are situations where you do not need a government to progress. Did neolitheans need the permission of their leaders to discover fire? No.

Lack of innovation. This here was the real problem. How could a nation thrive without innovation? Well, if they have absolutely NO innovation at all, they could survive by copying other nations. But this contradicts with Cultural Barrier. IF they had culture, why is there a lack of innovation? or maybe it’s the lack of a heck of a lot of innovation. But whatever.

Demographic trap. The more kids that you can’t support, the worse. The worst case i can see in this is that the kids die. But then again… It teaches the kids something. Survival of the fittest. Only the leanest will survive. They must be smart immediately and quick, lest be overrun. This would very much complement the Geopolitical because they would not learn to survive like the rest of the world. They would learn to survive in a whole new totally different way. One that might surpass the ones they have in the rest of the world.

Poverty trap. Here’s the cake. They can’t climb the ladder because there is no ladder, it wasn’t put up for them. What do they do? Build a staircase. A ladder put up for the impoverished would not teach them to put up a ladder. And where they heck will they get a ladder?

Why a staircase? Simple. When building stairs, you start step by step. Not like the ladders you see in home shopping channels where *pak**snap* it’s all assembled. No. Stairs, you start with step one. Then step two. And no one can progress unless they build the next step. And when you have a staircase, everyone else can follow.

People are scared of heights.

And there. I can’t find a situation where a nation would thrive even with all 7, just because some of them contradict each other. Tell me your thoughts.

And compare this to the Philippines. We’re doing much better than GG, right? Yeah. But then GG doesn’t exist.

And sir martin, if by any chance you read this and say, “WTFH, I didn’t say this!!!” or something like that, it’s because i don’t listen in your class.. XD I think of other things. Like.. um… other things. XD
